Shoto Tigers
The ‘Shoto Tigers’ was formed in 2006 and is a stand alone group separate from the SKKK mainstream Karate classes specifically for children aged 4 to 6 (inclusive).
The training within the Tigers combines traditional Shotokan Karate with fun learning and development activities. The perfect introduction to Shotokan Karate before commencing in mainstream classes at the age of 7 or when invited to attend by the clubs Senior Instructors.
The training sessions of the Shoto Tigers are designed to be entertaining for the children while teaching them basic skills and self discipline.
Although the child may see these activities as strictly fun, there are well-defined objectives behind each one such as improving:
Hand /eye co-ordination
Eye / Foot co-ordination
Timing Skills
Self control and Self-Discipline
Speed
Strength
Agility
Counting Skills (Including Japanese)
Social Skills
Honesty and Respect.
